The Prince Institute of Music inspires students of all ages to enjoy music and learn how to play the piano with enthusiasm.

  • Learn at their own rate in a caring, safe, and loving environment;
  • Progress and achieve piano playing skills and grow in music knowledge.
  • Listen to good quality music and appreciate diverse music styles.
  • Learn to play the piano with dignity and respect for self & others.
  • Become lifelong musicians and discover the humanistic values that music offers to the world.
  • GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:

    Group interaction and public piano performances (solo, duet and ensemble) provide many opportunities for the students to appreciate music. They learn:

  • To enhance technical social, leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
  • To become effective communicators and music performers, to increase self-confidence and self-efficacy, and to learn etiquette.
  • To improve music terminology, rhythm, and theory through hands-on activities; and to weave knowledge academically.
  • To perform with others and give support as a team.
  • To provide evaluations, and assignments.
  • ENVIRONMENT:

  • Child Friendly:  Enthusiastic, caring, supportive and safe.
  • Connects With Children:  Learning style format sparks a child’s interest resulting in the desire to participate and to excel in individual music programs.
  • Collaborative:  Assessment and evaluation are ongoing processes that are done with care; they are done while students learn to play the piano, participate in music festivals, or perform in music programs.  Parent participate is a key element in the musical growth process.
